Galileo Music Academy is pleased to announce our 11th annual Tri-Valley Summer String Workshop for intermediate and advanced string players ages 11-17!

This workshop is a two-week intensive string orchestra, technique, and chamber music day camp for intermediate and advanced string players ages 11-17. All students will participate in String Orchestra directed by San Ramon Youth Symphony conductor David Sego. Intermediate students will participate in "Technique Boot Camp" to learn and develop techniques such as shifting, principles of fingerings and bowings, scales, and vibrato. Advanced students will be placed in small, one-on-a-part Chamber Ensembles that will each have a dedicated faculty coach.

July 25 - August 5, 2016
Monday - Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Final Concert Friday, August 5, 2016 - 7:30 p.m.

All sessions take place at Galileo Music Academy, 2100 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon.

Ages: 11 years to 17 years. Advanced students under 11 years admitted by audition/instructor permission. Enrollment limited to 28 students. Violists, cellists, and double bass players are especially encouraged to sign up!
